ROES Quick Tips:
Need to track your order? You should
get a confirmation email back. There will be a 4million number
followed by an "R". This is your order number. Please
use this number if you have to call on the order.
Lost the "Tip of the Day"?
Find your .PCLWestROES folder. It should
be at C:\Documents and Settings\<Current User>\.PCLWestROES.
In the "<Current User>"
spot, it will be the name you signed in. Open the folder and open
the PCLWestROES.properties file using
WordPad or Notepad. Near the bottom of the document is a line
that says "splashtipshow.PCLWestROES=false".
Change "false" to "true".
Save and close.
Want to submit a multi-node product without
filling all the nodes? Hold the Alt key.
The Add to Order button changes to Add
with Empty.
Want an easier way to see
the products? Position the main window towards the bottom
of the screen and then go the Sizes button and select Show Sizes
Palette. Now postion the Sizes Palette on the top of the screen.
Yeah, it hides that really nice logo, but it can make things easier.
Also be sure you set your screen resolution high enough.
Adding graphics to your print?
This also applies to information close to the edge of the print.
Digital printer overprint to insure the image goes edge to edge
without having white borders show. Do not put any vital information
closer than 1/4" from the edge.
Want to hide the prices?
If you want to build templates or Christmas cards with your clients
by your side and hide prices, hit the "Preferences"
button and uncheck the Show Prices box. You will then need to
relaunch PCL West ROES and your prices will not show.
Want to remove the images
from templates? Make sure have selected the print SIDE
of the screen (as opposed to the thumbnail side) and hit the delete
key on your keyboard. This will delete ALL images in the print
box so you can start from scratch. There is no way to delete just
one image of a mulit-image layout or just the background...it's
all or nothing.
Want to rotate images clockwise?
Holding the ALT or Option Key while selecting 'Rotate Image' rotates
the image clockwise. It also rotates the layouts clockwise too.
Using Presenter:
1. You can now compare two images side by side with the Presenter
tool. Simply load jpgs to the main thumbnail page, click on the
Presenter tool, and drag the two images you want to compare side
by side.
2. You also have the ability to slide show the images. So, load
your jpgs and click Presenter. You can select how fast images
change under the Settings. Click Slide Show.
3. To slide show just the images you have ordered or a great way
to slide show your template album pages.....Build the order and
click Review Order. Click on Render, then save the images to a
folder. Once saved, Presenter will open with just the jpgs you
ordered (or new jpgs of flattened template album pages). Sit back
& enjoy the slide show. (Note: the newly saved rendered jpgs
are emailable or web-posteable b/c they are small)
